It was his first time @ MOA. And I could see in his eyes that he really enjoyed malling, of course, with me. I’m glad to realize that the friendship is back. The warmth and comfort, the sensible conversations, the laughter and smiles, the mini-debates and tolerable teases, and even the most senseless jokes; all of these are back… just like before.
I was as happy as he was. It was fun. We watched twilight – his first, my third – and had dinner at Lola Ina’s. He liked the baked tahong so much while I wolfed down half of the sizzling tanigue with honeysweet-buttered sauce that we ordered.
We roamed around the mall, almost half of it, until wee hours. There was a “No Limits” concert near CBTL, overlooking Manila Bay. We decided to spend the remaining time of the night at the coffee shop. He had lemon chamomile tea, I had ice-blended white chocolate dream.
Wearing high-heeled shoes, I never complained. It was worth the sacrifice. For me, it was one of the best dates that we had since the very start.
