Busy Christmas Season
December has always been a busy month for me. It is a time for OP Chorale’s Christmas caroling practices and performances, rehearsals and preparation for OP Christmas Party’s modern dance contest (we were the champion last year), and family reunions and get-together events with friends. It is also a time for gift-giving so I need more time to buy stuffs for my loved ones, especially for my 27 Godchildren.
So, please forgive me if I can’t attend to my blogging tasks. I promise to get back to it in January. I miss you, guys!

Letting Go Of My N77
I lost my Nokia N77 last week while I was busy shopping at SM Dasma. It was in my bag’s pocket. A woman, more or less 30 years old, walked on beside me. I got my instinct, grabbed my bag in front of me, and checked if my cellphone was still in the pocket. I was stunned when I noticed that the pocket was open already and the cellphone wasn’t there. I hurriedly looked for the woman but unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found.
In that moment, I lost my hope of finding my N77 again. It was really impossible to get it back since that mall is so big and the security is not that helpful and dependable. How did it happen in the first place in the presence of security guards and personnel?
News have been collected and some friends told me that there were a number of theft and robbery stories, like mine, that occurred at SM Dasma. The victim wasn’t only me. A friend unconsciously lost her Motorola V3, too, with the same fate as mine while she was strolling around the mall.
The moral of the story, keep your valuable belongings in a safe place – inside your bag or in your pocket - so that you can prevent “watching vultures” from getting what they want and need.
In my case, I just let it be. I love my N77 but I have to let go… Some good things never really lasts. Perhaps better things will come…
And maybe the one who got it badly needs it. Pamasko ko na lang sa kanya yun!

Friends Again
It was his first time @ MOA. And I could see in his eyes that he really enjoyed malling, of course, with me. I’m glad to realize that the friendship is back. The warmth and comfort, the sensible conversations, the laughter and smiles, the mini-debates and tolerable teases, and even the most senseless jokes; all of these are back… just like before.I was as happy as he was. It was fun. We watched twilight – his first, my third – and had dinner at Lola Ina’s. He liked the baked tahong so much while I wolfed down half of the sizzling tanigue with honeysweet-buttered sauce that we ordered.
We roamed around the mall, almost half of it, until wee hours. There was a “No Limits” concert near CBTL, overlooking Manila Bay. We decided to spend the remaining time of the night at the coffee shop. He had lemon chamomile tea, I had ice-blended white chocolate dream.
Wearing high-heeled shoes, I never complained. It was worth the sacrifice. For me, it was one of the best dates that we had since the very start.

Age Doesn't Matter
How was my special day? It was celebrated with my dearest loved ones… simply and perfectly.
I played an important role during a friend's wedding. Katherine Demandante, a good friend since childhood got married to his long-time partner, Fritz Cruz, last December 6 and as she requested, I was one of the wedding coordinators.

The other coordinator, Abhie, the bride's elder sister, is my bestfriend.
The Demandantes have always been siblings to me.
With Meg (one of the bridesmaids) and Abhie
My Mom and Dad were with me on my birthday My favorite aunt, Auntie Dada, gave me an advance birthday treat
Auntie Dada's daughter, Claire, my cousin, as we posed with the birthday treat
With my adopted siblings, Fernan and Pemy
With my cousin, Allan, Auntie Dada's youngest child, was also present fresh from his review classes in local board nursing examinations
Mom's pansit on December 7 (sorry for the low quality shot, it was only taken by a camphone)
The night was the busiest as my friendly friends dropped by to greet me a happy birthday (Abhie, Kathy and Zarah) Jeffrey was the photog. Thanks, Demandantes!
With Cindy, Kathy and Abhie... As I grabbed the song lists. Lambanog and Videoke time!
And the drinking session lasted until 3am, not minding that it was a Monday =)

Sick :'-(
I had no regrets, I enjoyed the company really. But now I am suffering from the consequence of not thinking about my health first before [friendly] dating. Hehehe!
