I was late and arrived at 11:30 A.M. in the office today. I heard a bad news from my boss, Asec. Varona, that the Bell Helicopter 412 has been missing since yesterday. The chopper was expected to land on Ifugao at 6 P.M. yesterday for the ocular inspection of PGMA's advance party to Banaue. No chopper arrived.
Passengers of Bell 412 are Press Undersecretary for Operations Jose Capadocia, Presidential Military Aide Brig. Gen. Carlos Clet, Undersecretary for Presidential Engagements and Appointments Marilou Frostrom, Presidential Management Staff Assistant Secretary Perlita Bandayanon, Clet’s aide de camp and two pilots from the elite Presidential Airlift Wing – certain Major Zacatani and Capt. Aligata.
Until now, the search is on to find the missing group. I am hopeful that they are still alive, as one of them, Ms. Pearly, has been very helpful to me because she is my most reliable source of information regarding PGMA provincial sorties. Usec. Frostrom is a good friend of my boss and most of all, they are my officemates, serving the nation with great pride and selfless dedication.
