Free Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine for OP Women

The first 100 female OP employees to register today were given FREE anti-cervical cancer vaccine. I was No. 43. Thanks to Adel for the early notice.

After 2 months, I'll have my 2nd shot of it. The 3rd and last will be given on the 6th month and that would complete the series of Gardasil. Reports say that it costs P5,000 per shot. Isn't it great to have it for FREE?

I can't wait to be dosed again because it didn't hurt at all. Swear!

  1. wow sosyal meron na din pala niyan sa pinas! its indeed a good news! just hope that the gov't also consider the other not-so-rich-women in the philippines. it might be a good project of all wives of all gov't officials, local or national. di ba po Romblon's first lady to be... hehehe

  2. @ anonymous: Hahaha! Natawa naman ako sa sinabi mong "Romblon's first lady to be" kasi mas malabo pa sa tubig ng Ilog Pasig yan...

    Seriously, you have a good idea. HPV Vaccine for all Filipino women, especially the poor, should be given priority. Sana nga makapag-implement ang government, particularly the DOH, ng ganyang project... or baka meron na, hindi lang natin alam.

  3. wow thats great! i got mine on my own...couldnt afford the gardasil one so i went with the other, less expensive brand. i figured even though gardasil covers more, getting some form of vaccination is better than nothing.

  4. @ Ria: I think, "prevention is better than cure" applies here. You're right, it's better than nothing.
