Are you sick of officemates who open and/or use your computer without your consent? Are you always assigned with official business tasks which require you to leave the office immediately and your computer without logging out?
The solution is here as Screen Pass, a screen locking system for Windows®, extends the capability of the standard workstation lock and gives network administrators complete control over idle workstations. The administrator can define and configure idle period and if it exceeds, Screen Pass automatically logout if the screen saver is running and inactivity continues. This program can be set to logout, restart, shutdown, or powerdown.
However, unsaved changes in open applications are discarded during automatic logout. So you still have to save your data from time to time in order to make sure that all files are recorded before an emergency.
This is just so perfect for me. I hope our IT Department allows me to download this software. I remember one time I saw my boss in front of my computer when I came back from accomplishing an errand. I left my meebo open and worst thing was, we (my cousin and I) were talking about my rants over him. Yikes!
