Kapitan Sino

"There is something strange in your neighborhood. Ang pinakabagong superhero noon. Mas matibay pa sa orig. Sa mas mahabang panahon."

Bob Ong is back. He's got a new book! It's entitled "Kapitan Sino."

I was malling last night at Festival Mall after sending money to my bestfriend in Baguio City through Gcash. Of course, I didn't fail to pass by the bookstore to check what's new in store. After scanning some self-help books and almost-buying some Paulo Coelho's and Mitch Albom's, I saw Bob Ong's latest masterpiece and immediately grabbed it without a second thought.

Hmmmn... an addition to my Bobong Pinoy's collection! I'm sure I will love this!!!

Nothing Special, Just His Birthday Ü

June 26 was Yobs' birthday so I worked on a half day so I could be with him. We had lunch at Bacolod Chicken Inasal at MOA. We were supposed to watch Transformers 2 at IMAX but unfortunately, all tickets were sold out for screenings until Monday. It is the first week of the movie so everybody's going crazy about it.

We just watched Transformers 2 at Cinema 3 but before that I bought him a birthday gift - a black Transformers jacket! Oh well, yeah, he's actually a die-hard fan! And I am sure it would be of great use because he works in a call center as an IT specialist... and he's always in the snooze box! Hehehe! Peace, Yobs!

I loved the movie so much, I'm sure he did, too. After the movie, we had our usual CBTL gig. He got on his favorite lemon grass/chamomile hot tea while I sipped on my ice-blended mango shake with whip cream. We also shared a lemon square. The cashier gave us a Swirl Rewards card for reaching an amount of more than P250. Yobs was just so kind to give the card to me, since according to him, I am more of a CBTL baby than him.

We arrived home at past 11pm. I was just thankful it wasn't traffic at SLEX (but South Super Highway was!). He took some rest and we chatted for a couple of minutes and then he left the house at 12 midnight because he still had to report at work by 6am. I accompanied him to the jeepney terminal and bid our goodbye kiss when the PUJ arrived.

I just had a great time, really.

Happy Birthday, Yobs!

Yobs and I have been formally friends since 2004 and since then, we've become best buddies. Now that he's celebrating his 28th birthday ( I dunno if he'd be glad to know that I disclosed his age here), I want him to know that he's more than special to me. I hope our friendship lasts forever and I will always be here, no matter what. That I promise Ü

Addict Mode

I admit it, almost all people are transferring from Friendster to Facebook... and this is driving me crazy!!!

At first, I was resistant to use Facebook because most of my friends are in Friendster. But now, they're hooked, too. It's obvious, there are more and better features offered by FB than FS. You can comment on one's status and create unlimited threads, upload photos easier (by folder), take all kinds of quizzes (from personality to disorder to your look-alike to "how well do you know "your friend," etc. You can also play a lot of addicting online games where you can chat and interact with your friends and buddies.

As of now, I am in an addict mode, not with Mafia Wars, but with Pet Society and Farm Town.

Pet Society is an online interactive game where you create your own pet, feed it, play with it, dress it, shop, design your house, race, and meet with other online players. This is such a cute game, especially when you're a pet lover. However, Pet Society has its limitations. Activities are limited and it is not easy to earn coins as each activity equals less than 20 coins only.

While it is artistically designed and educational, Pet Society is ideal for the little kids and the kids-at-heart.

What makes me busy during my free time and office breaks is Farm Town. It is very addicting because you know you have responsibilities. Responsibility to take good care of your crops and farm animals so that you will earn more money for trade and investment purposes.

Strategy is the objective of this game because you need to be patient, watchful, smart and fast in order to get good trades and grow your farm well. You also have to be respectful and disciplined in doing the jobs assigned to you by your client (the one who hires you for harvesting jobs). If he says, "Not the trees!," don't touch the trees. You can also send and receive gifts for and from your neighbors in forms of trees and farm animals - all for free!

Ok, I admit it - I am currently addicted to both games... and staying late up night, especially because of Farm Town, doesn't matter at all.

Inspired Mode

These past few mornings, I am seeing myself smiling while waking up... and jumping off the bed inspired and full of life. I know the exact reason why I am feeling this way, and I thank God for that. I won't rush. I sure understand that if it is meant to be, it will happen...

I just want to share the goodness of life by inspiring other people. Know what makes you truly happy and go for it. There's no harm in trying. Enjoy life to the fullest!

"Wake up today with a smile on your face and in your heart. Everything will be just fine. Think positive. Smile, God loves you!"

F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

I felt important today.

Why? I realized that I am a great influence to some friends. That what I say are being heard, that my views and opinions are being considered, that I am significant to the lives of others.

This is one of the reasons why life is great: realizing and accomplishing your mission in life... to be a friend to people who need one.

Thanks to you (you know who you are) who made me feel important today.
