My Century Tuna Superbods Run Training

I am planning to join the Century Tuna's Superbods Run this coming February 21, 2010 at the Fort Global City, with Derek Ramsey, Coach Rio and the hottest Superbods and celebrities in town. I really would want to participate in this event because I believe that health is really one of the factors and proofs of a man's well-being.

"Health is Wealth," and running is one way to achieve it. From the very start, I really have a problem losing weight; I think the Century Tuna Superbods Run would really help me become more determined and inspired to shape up.

Therefore, I am preparing for the Century Tuna Superbods Run by doing the following physical activities:

Morning Walk. A morning walk everyday strengthens the heart as you absorb all the positive energies given by the morning sun and fresh air.
Evening Jog. An evening jog every weekend stretches your muscles, strengthens your bones and relaxes your mind. A relaxed mind and body make a better person in us. Jumping Rope. The jump rope workout optimizes cardiovascular conditioning and maximizes athletic skills by combining agility, coordination, timing, and endurance.
Sports. Eversince I was young, I used to involve myself into sports. I believe that it is not only a physical activity but also a discipline: something that comes from the heart and mind. I always make sure that once in a while, I have something strenuous things to do - something that would make me sweat and catch my breath.
~
♥ Stretching & Exercise should be a daily habit ♥
♥ Volleyball, where I excel ♥
♥ Badminton with friends is fun & challenging ♥
♥ Swimming is definitely good for the heart and lungs ♥
♥ Like electricity to batteries, trekking & hiking energize the soul ♥
Can you feel that I really want to be part of this Run? I really do, that is why I am preparing myself to be fully physically fit for this event through the activities I stated above. However, I cannot do this alone. I SUPER need your help in order to make this "dream" happen.

Please vote for me by posting a comment on this blog entry on why I should win a Century Tuna Superbods Run 2010 Race Kit. Only ten (10) lucky winners will be chosen so please please please support me on this.
Thanks, guys! L♥veL♥ve!

The Jointforces' Reunion @ Cyma-Greenbelt is ♥d

Since we graduated from UP Manila, the Jointforces, my college barkada, only had less than five times to go out and spend some time together. One pursued continuing studies, two went abroad to work, one got married, some started their own business, some stayed.

Last December 21, 2009, Charry, the one working in Dubai, went home to the Philippines with her family and boyfriend to have a vacation just in time for Christmas season. The Joints had the chance to reunite, sit down, dine and update each other on how we were doing during these past years.

We ate at Cyma Estiatorio in Greenbelt, Makati City. It is a Greek restaurant offering mouth-watering and delicious cuisines. It was my first time there so I really savored every bite and enjoyed every bit of their specialties.
In the photos are Ronie, Edel, Edison, Me & Charry. Sad thing Anna, Fevi, Jam, Jellen, Lara & Magno were unable to come. They just didn't know how we missed them and how they missed this once-in-a-blue-moon event.
Cyma also offers sizzling dishes on plates and you will be amazed by how their cute waiters serve the food. You'll just see yourself stunned and shocked. Hahaha! Just check it out for yourself.
These were what we ordered.

Hummous = P125.00
(Velvety chickpea, Tahini and garlic dip)
Taramosalata = P185.00
(Greek Caviar - salted fish roe)
Giant Shrimp with Dill and Ouzo = P550.00
(In tomato cream sauce, served with your choice of rice-stuffed peppers or Greek roasted potatoes)
Cyma Baby Back Ribs = Half Slab, P650.00
(Charbroiled, peeled off the bone, basted with honey cinnamon glaze, served with your choice of rice-stuffed peppers or Greek roasted potatoes)
Cyma Watermelon and Lamb Salad = To Share, P570
(Sweet watermelon and grilled lamb, with feta cheese, black olives, sunflower leaves and fresh mint, served with Cyma's summer herb vinaigrette)
It was an awesome night for old friends who have been away for some time. The satisfying dinner and good conversations definitely spiced up the gathering. I am hoping for more to come!

***NOTE: All photos were taken by the author (That's me!) so please don't just grab, copy and paste without me knowing. It's always FREE to ask for my permission to use them. Wala pong bayad. Tinamad lang akong maglagay ng watermark. Hehe!

Reflections on a Sunday Afternoon ^_^

As of this writing, there were so many things that happened. I have been so busy with work. As you know, PGMA's term is nearing to end and I am still not sure where to go next after her administration. It's really hard to be in a co-term status, plus my workplace has given me stress. Well, it's pretty obvious that we can't please everybody even when you are doing your best to accomplish the jobs given to you. All you have to do is accept the fact that there are some who just can't value your efforts... and maybe, I still need to exert more not just to prove to them that I deserve the promotion, but to prove to myself that what they think of me is definitely wrong.

I just thank God for I have friends in OP who lighten up my burden and brighten up each day in the office. My dear Corresmates and friends from other offices are those who make me smile in the midst of sadness and uncertainties. My choirmates from OP Chorale inspire me, too. I know they are always concerned about me, and thanks to them, they are seeing my developments in singing.

Blogging? Oh no! You never really know how much I miss attending blog events, taking photos, bonding with blogmates and documenting through my blogs my complicated yet colorful life. I really love to write, but with all these "busyness" and hectic days, I can't put my whole self into it. It's better to set my blogworld aside rather than include it to my real world.

Lovelife? This shall remain as a "sacred" and personal matter since things are not yet concrete. All I can say is I am happy - so happy I don't need to ask for more.

My strength comes from my family, friends and God. I may not have everything, but I am thankful I have all that I need.

My New Year's Resolutions

At first, I was hesitant to make my New Year's resolutions because based on my experience, at the end of the year, I just get disappointed realizing I did not succeed in accomplishing most of them.

However, I still have this urge to create one as a guide in achieving my goals in life. I may not get the best results but at least, I tried. This is just a short list of my priorities for 2010... 2010 is a promising year for all of us, only if we do what we should and put our dreams into actions. Happy New Year and good luck!

Best Quote for the Day :)

One thing I learned today: self-control. If you're mad but don't wanna argue 'cause you know it won't do good, just shut up, let the emotions subside then afterwards let the person know how you feel by talking to him/her in a nice, calm way.

The Best Blueberry Cheesecake Ever!

The best blueberry cheesecake I've ever tasted is found at the Bag of Beans in Tagaytay City, Cavite (Philippines) for only P135/slice. I've been longing to have a bite of it since I read a lot of positive feedbacks about it in various blogs and online articles.

Last December 19, I went to Tagaytay for the sole purpose of experiencing Bag of Beans. As expected, it didn't failed me. Their Norwegian salmon steak, apple pie, fresh strawberry and melon juices were great, but what's really incomparable was one of their specialties, the very famous and luscious blueberry cheesecake! Literally, I almost forgot my name when I had my first bite. All I felt and had in mind was its crunchy crust, creamy cream cheese filling, and syrup-y and not-so-sweet-not-so-sour blueberry toppings. It was almost perfect, I couldn't say anything negative about it.

For me, it was the best blueberry cheesecake I have ever tasted in my whole life! I promise to come back to Bag of Beans soon!
