Miracle Whip Starts Up the Miracle Machine

With the main objective of helping less fortunate people, Miracle Whip launches the Miracle Machine, which basically aims to get people and their friends working together for a good cause. Miracle Machine is a social network application that invites people with pure hearts to make participate in charity and volunteer projects.
For the start, Miracle Machine selected the most deserving and under rated 11 beneficiaries from the many nominated organizations in the list. These are Kythe Foundation (to help Angelalyn Magalano who has Nephrotic Syndrome and Psoriasis, Jamboree Mountaineers, Childhope Asia, Kaeskwela, Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Sagip Buhay & Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Firefly Brigade & Tiklop Society, Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, Resources for the Blind, Museo Pambata, and St. Martin de Porres Charity Home.

For you to be able to help, you can log on to http://www.facebook.com/WhippingUpMiracles. By spreading the word of goodwill, each of us can whip up a miracle for those who badly need it.

And as a closing remark, I would like to share (according to what I remember) what Mr. Alex said during the project launch at Cantinetta:

"Donating money is not actually charity; because charity is giving something that is a part of you, and money is not one."

Donating For A Charity Project

Once I heard from Ms. Meg that the Cloudrats Mountaineers is holding a charity project to benefit Aetas in Benguet and they are looking for sponsors, I did not have a second thought to help. I wanted to join them in the charity climb but December 2-5 would be a conflict, as December 3 and 4 are working days. So sad that I cannot take a vacation leave again—I just had my two-day vacation leave for our Cebu-Bohol trip last October, remember?

Therefore, what I did was buy some school supplies which will be distributed to less fortunate Aeta school chidlren on the said dates. As I was buying the stuffs—Imagine how thousands of people move inch-by-inch on the busy streets of Divisoria as they avail of the Eid'l Adha holiday for their shopping espree—what I felt was purely altruism, both in the time, effort and money part. I consumed much but honestly, I am really glad that I am taking part in this noble deed.
Well, now I have done one of the things I have to accomplish before the year ends. I do hope that my donations will go a long, long way. I know this is just a small thing compared to others' contributions but I am sure this will benefit many children from the countryside.

Keep up the good work, Cloudrats!

Yes, I am turning 29 on the 7th of December, and I think and strongly believe that there is nothing to be ashamed of the fact. What I am seriously thinking now are 29 things that I should do in celebration of my 29 years of existence in this wonderful world. I am being spontaneous now, so here goes the first things that come in my mind, in random order.

I hope I can do all these things in one sitting, but I know it would not be possible as funds are not enough to put these dreams into reality all at a time. But I am still holding on to the principle that What Nicely wants, Nicely gets--most of the times December is my month. Who knows? I might find my genie in a bottle along the way.
