Diamonds are girls’ best friend. I have been very vocal with Yobs that I want an engagement ring from him, but I am not hurrying him up. I understand that wearing one does not only mean a material possession, but a commitment for life.
For now, I am content with our silver couple’s ring. Its stone may not be diamond, but its meaning is genuine—that we are already a couple, with God and love in the center of our relationship. I think that is enough to keep us going.

When the time comes that he proposes, what is important is that he is fully ready to be with me for the rest of our lives, and I, being fully prepared to build a family with him, too. I won’t go for a million worth of a diamond ring, I would appreciate cheaper, eco-friendly jewelry more than anything else. It’s the thought that counts anyway. And I would love it more if he’ll give me something that looks like this:
