Operation Plan Tanza: Roof Replacement and Lighting Fixtures Installment

Dad texted me this morning and asked when am I scheduling the repair of our house in Tanza, Cavite. The kitchen’s translucent roof has to be replaced because it has holes already, allowing roof leaks when it rains. Besides, Dad told me that last night someone—a robber as he suspected—was walking on the roof, perhaps waiting for the perfect timing to lift the roof off so he could enter the house. Dad stressed that an immediate replacement of a more durable roof material, preferably a concrete one, is badly needed.

Power outlets and lighting fixtures should also be properly set to avoid faulty electrical wirings. Although the month of March, the Fire Prevention Month, has ended, it is important to check if these are still performing efficiently.

After the kitchen, my next project would be the dining area. I noticed that the area is quite dim and dull, when in fact; it should be brighter because it is where food is served and family spends time to bond. I am planning to put a chandelier to light it up. I am still thinking whether to choose pendant lights or semi flush ceiling lights, as I still have to check which brand is better and compare prices.

Good news is, on the first week of May, I will be receiving some extra bucks from my part-time job and allocating portion of it for this mission. Maintaining a home is just like growing a child; we have to be financially prepared to meet its needs.
