Because I remember
why I failed to win the OP Sportsfest Fun Run 2011, I used the Galloway method, in order to survive the 3k category of the Alaska Family Run today. Five minutes of running and a minute of walking in between was effective. It didn't tire me at all, even if I had bad cough. Drinking milk for strong bones also helped Sire Albert and me win this race.

And because we finished the race as early as I expected, we got our most-anticipated FINISHER'S SHIRTS.

The event was indeed for the family—parents and children alike. There were lots of activities for kids, such as the Pop the Balloon, World Search, Math Box of 15, art area, photo booth, and many others. There was also a kiosk for free tasting of Alaska full cream milk, choco-flavored milk, and halo-halo to beat the summer's heat.

It was truly a fun-packed morning for Betbet as he carried his loot bags full of milk products and a drinking tumbler. His finisher's shirt and newly bought gray sports shorts fit and match just right.

But our triumph would not be possible without the presence of my dear Mommy who woke up at 3am and went with us all the way from Cavite so that we wouldn't be late for the gun start. She was there for us from start to finish. Seeing her priceless smile before the finish line as she clapped her hands and cheered was really heartwarming.

Thank you for the unrelenting support, Mommy!
Happy Mothers' Day and I love you very much! |
Special thanks, too, to
Running Atom, for the free race kits! More power!
